A Question for Canadian Photo-etchers

Oct 15, 2004 1 Replies

Have been thinking of doing my own photo-etch bits andI was wondering where I could pick up the chemicals required. Looking for a Canadian source as it's hard to get corrosive chemicals shipped across the border. WRF

"Nooooooo! Stop me before I build again."

The ferric cloride- the corrosive chemical- is widely carried in electronics supply places. Do you have Radio Shacks in Canada? The other materials, the photoresist and developers, should be able to be mailed fine. I note Micro Mark's new PE kit. Has anyone tried this yet? It looks good, and think I'll try it, though would sure like to hear from someone who has used one before I spring for that kind of money.
