Advantages: four more single figures for use either alone or with a vehicle

Disadvantages: nothing major noted

Rating: Highly Recommended

Recommendation: for all Eastern Front fans

The latest offering from DML of ?four guys in a box? is another set of German Waffen SS troops in Russia, circa 1941-1943. As usual the figures a re shown on the box art as stripped of all insignia due to Council of Europ e requirements.

These four single figures include a sniper in a camouflaged smock drinking from his canteen; a figure in winter snow suit with MP40 and goggles; a ma chine gunner at rest with an MG34 resting on his shoulder; and an infantrym an in the act of loading a Mauser.

Each figure consists of six basic parts (head, torso, arms and legs) wit h a separate collar/hood for the figure in snow gear. A canteen with the ca p removed and the Kar 98K with telescopic sight are provided on the main sp rue rather than the G and W ?boilerplate? Gen2 sprues in the kit. Two d rum carriers and two belts of machine gun ammunition are also included on t he main sprue.

Directions are of the usual ?stick here and paint? variety. Artwork is by Zgonnnik.

Overall, once more German fans have another set of options for posing with a vehicle or painting as a single figure.

Thanks to Freddie Leung for the review sample.
