Hello,
there are a little (external) program to get the dependencies (child files) of a SolidWorks master file. E.g. for CAD system Unigraphics the program ugpc lists the dependencies of a master file.

There is a macro for this on Leonard Kistra's website;
formatting link
to SolidWorks/macros and look for "AssemblyBom.
