I've noticed that the WI version has always lagged a bit behind the regular installer. It's never failed to appear eventually.

I have noticed that if you use the check for new SPs in solidworks it says that I am running the latest version even though I am on SP3.1. Now why does that happen. Is there a reason is the version that is up not officially released or what. My var said he had just found out about the pre-release the other day and now it is available to all???? I am confused. I guess it really doesn't matter. I should just wait and see how much the rest of you complain before I venture into unchartered territory anyway.

reading between the lines I would speculate a lot of SW people have been pulled off their usual tasks to work on 2004-it all looks a bit messy though doesn't it? my worst fear would be that sp4 win install is not quite as legitimate as I would hope...the release notes at SW- the last time I looked- still said 2000sp4 was unqualified but the notes accompanying the actual patch don't say that...doesn't inspire a lot of confidence...as Devon said it just looks sloppy and my mind runs ahead thinking about how reluctant I am to renew my subscription...why would I do this all again each year?

I don't think this is related to the beta. This happens in peace-time as well.

The updateing of items on the web seems to be inconsistent for SolidWorks.com. Every once in a while a get an email notifying me of a SP I downloaded two weeks ago. SW checking for updates rarely notifies me, but it only checks every so often. The WI downloads usually lags behind the traditional installer. The website gets wierd a day or two before a new SP is posted. All these things happen, but it always works eventually.
