No wonder they go broke is it, deleting the highly popular colours and carrying on with the others only wanted by military modellers. Keith
Their military colours aren't what they used to be either. Haven't seen one recommended in along time.

We have the same coversation on alt.coffee frequently. the problem there is that a bean gets darker as it roasts longer. There are about half a dozen bean characteristics (acidity/varietal flavour/sweetness etc) that vary with degree of roast. The descriptions of degrees of roast vary by country/state/roaster and are not universal. there are a set of colour cards against which you could monitor depth of roast (agtron) but too expensive for us amateur roasters with our little 1lb shed machines.
Colour monitors don't cut it.
A suggested solution? a standard available worldwide - Lindt chocolates come in an amazing variety of shades of brown.
Adams pea green soup/bulleid dark green cabbage?
Ken "actually, i think the OP was interested in difference between the colours and not absolute - in which case a simple dulux type colour chart is fine"
Um, er, the calibrating standard objects wouldn't last long in this house. Prolly not even long enough to be used for calibration. :-)
