Plenty of Switchwire conversions still live with a fixed Z stop and the familiar manual bed-leveling routine, and that is what makes this build interesting to me. The maker has taken an Ender 3 Pro and turned it into a Voron Switchwire that handles Z calibration on its own, running an automated probing and calibration routine instead of asking the operator to fiddle with knobs.
The machine itself looks properly sorted. It rides on a black aluminum extrusion frame with linear rails along the X and Y axes, and the 3D-printed Stealthburner toolhead is finished in black as well. The build plate is flat.
The clever bit is the Z-Stop and Nozzle scrub arrangement. A spring-loaded switch sits alongside the heated bed, and the toolhead drops onto it again and again to trip it during the routine. The Auto Z side runs on Klipper_z_calibration. The trigger pin sits 5mm above the bed, and the probe offset lands around 5.5mm. The maker reports that the pin costs no clearance and that no additional travel is required, and rates the whole thing a tidy, well thought-out mod.
The one thing I keep wondering about is tuning: with the pin sitting 5mm up and an offset near 5.5mm to dial in, my guess is that a nozzle-mounted endstop of the v2/VT style could simplify calibration, though the maker has not gone that route.
