Dip it in HCl (Hydrochloric otherwise known a Muriatic Acid) If it fizzes like crazy, you have a coating. Make that USED to have a coating. We dip the end 1/2" on galvanized pipe prior to welding. Do this with plenty of venteltion, it gives off hydrogen fumes that are quite…
