I'm dealing with a legacy spec for 3/32" AWS A5.9 type 308 weld wire that specifies it be "Gas Cleaned Only." Does anybody recognize this term? Also, (separate question), we use 308 to make small machined parts about a half inch in diameter, to help the weldability in autogenous welds to 304 tube. It should be straightforward to get rod in this diameter by interrupting the drawing process, but Purchasing is having a terrible time finding a suppier who'll do it. Any suggestions? Thanks, Joe Long
