Does anyone know if any early J3 Piper Cub aircraft purchased by the Army were built and tested using an olive drab color scheme but without the extra overhead and aft windows? In other words, like the basic Cub but with the olive drab color scheme and with Army/Air Force markings. If so, where can I find a photo? (All the photos I have found are for L4 Piper type aircraft.) This info will be used for the R/C model I'm presently building. Thanks

Get the book, "L-Birds". One photo of an impressed J-3 in USAA regalia.
