Re: Waco 60 size ARF

I want to put a 7 cylinder Radial TECHNOPOWER ENGINE in the WACO 60.

Should sound & look great !

I may remove the Fiberglass Cowl to have the whole engine mor visible.

- Could you please let me know what is the Diameter on the Fiberglas Cowl so that I can see if the radial engine will fit nicely.(externa diameter of the engine is 6 5/8"= 168 mm).

- Also, could you tell me what is the "ready to fly" weight of th plane (without fuel of course). Did you had to add weight in the noz ? What is the weight of the engine fitted in it ?

- Finaly, could you tell me if you consider that the plane fl resonably slow or if it will be better flyer with a lower RTF weight.

The 7 cylinder engine is 32cc; weight 879 gr and turn a 14x8 prop a bi under 7000RPM. It's external diameter is 6 5/8"(168.3 mm). It i advertised for +1hp and recomended by the manufacturer for 12 lbs ma planes.--> Do you think it will be OK for the WACO ?

Another option might be to fit in it an Electric motor. What do yo think of this ?

Many thanks in advance for your reply
