Electrical Construction Project and Operations Manager

Western PA Electrical Contractor - Looking to hire immediately a seasoned Project Manager with over five to eight year's experience in the electrical construction industry for an established company. Ideal candidate will have their BSEE. Our firm specializes in new construction (plan/spec and design/build), modernization and renovation on residential, commercial and industrial projects. Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop new business is a must. This is a full-time salaried position with great benefits and opportunity for advancement.

The successful candidate shall have the following attributes:

a.. · Perform electrical project management as assigned to include design, bid, negotiations, construction, and close-out documents. b.. · Develop electrical system concepts, prepare project requirements and specifications, and participate in cost estimates of projects. c.. · Periodically review and upgrade design standards for electrical systems. d.. · Coordinate all construction, manpower, schedule and project electrical requirements with company personnel, management and other project trades. e.. · Review plans for electrical and other specification divisions at various stages of design and construction. f.. · Develop standards for project implementation, management and inspection of various electrical systems. g.. · Direct and inspect work during the installation, modification, or maintenance stages of electrical installations on our projects. h.. · Create and manage program for implementation of quality control and commission procedures for newly installed electrical systems and upgrades. i.. · Write reports and attend project meetings and conferences as required or assigned. j.. Some travel will be required with possible over night stays. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

a.. · Possession of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least 3 years responsible professional experience in electrical engineer and project management or any combination of education and hands-on experience that would provide the above noted knowledge, skill and ability. b.. · Engineer in Training (EIT) required and if possible, a licensed professional engineer. Valid drivers license is required. c.. · Knowledge and experience with the theory, practices, materials, and equipment of the electrical engineering and electrical construction fields. d.. · Knowledge and experience with construction project management. e.. · Skill in writing reports, specifications, and contract documents. f.. · Excellent ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. g.. · Knowledge and experience in computer software use: Microsoft Office and general capability to learn a variety of project management, scheduling, and design software programs. h.. Have a proven track record of successful electrical construction management at the Administrative and Operations levels. i.. Must be able to coordinate and manage all activities for the successful completion of multiple projects of various scopes and sizes running concurrently.
