Does anyone know of a European standard for contructing a compound or base for an oil filled power transformer? In particular I need to know the minimum capacity % for the 'bund' kerb or wall to collect leaked oil, the content requirements for the base level, e.g. stone backfill to quench flame, steel mesh detail for same? Should there be a low point for draining off the oil or do you just remove and replace the stone backfill? Do you need a minimum seperation distance from other power transformers? should we place walls between adjacent transformers. Any help would be appreciated.
