Are you referring to the "build my own high CURRENT welder guy"? I was interested in high CURRENT for experimental pupose much like a lot of people do experiments with high VOLTAGE (tesla coils, etc). But in my case, I'm more interested in 10000 amps at 1 volt. I think it would be more "challenging" (like getting a very low impedance system together).
Also, I intend to do "power experiments" from generator supply, not from utility supply. If a solid fault or major arc develops, shutting things down could be done at the generator (shut down the engine). And if by chance it's all out of control and nothing can be shut down, at least it is isolated (just run away).
I was just hooking you guys up in case he had something for you.
