Electric lock button wont unlock the car

MCOT -Pull Handle. You have to pull the door handle to unlock when the ignition is off.

Please use the correct term for these tools so as not to confuse anyone. The regularly accepted acronym is OGISITDAT. This of course stands for Oh God, It's Stuck In The Door Again Tool.

I'm Sure Billy will have this on his famous word list if he has not already done so.

I use the under window tool all the time these days and NEVER get it stuck. not saying that I never have in the past but professionals learn from their mistakes..

I had a call once from a guy-could I remove an opening tool from his car door? a pretty new Passant IIRR, and the 'kid' thought he would be helpful, and stuck an MCOT (a CHEAP ONE, btw) in the door.. he SHOULD have treated it like a ford with button.. but he went for the inside lock-it can open anything...LOLOL

Can say the same thing myself. I broke one in two once-no damage to the car. Gotten them into too tight of a spot-just got it out and tried the "other tool". If it worked its way in...it will work it's way out in reverse. goma.

as long as 2 things.. you are not TOO far in.. OR, you wrap it around an intermediate piller in the car door that you did NOT know was present.. then it could not be backed out, ESPECIALLY when the kid bent it (told you it was cheap) trying.. --Shiva--

I got stuck in the INSIDE once, but if you take the smaller tool, you can dig out the OTHER tool usually.. --Shiva--

yea, used a slim-jim to get one un-stuck before.

Used one on a Ford Focus or something last summer. There were cables for the window instead of the expected pillars and stuff.

Got the tool wrapped around the window cable and totally screwed that window up.

Thing is, it was the same week I was planning on leaving the company I was with, so I'm sure they think I sabotaged the car on purpose for them to pay for.
