A beam with many supportpoints

If I put a beam on four support points that are placed at unequal distances,and try to calculate the forces that keeps it in balance (by looking atvertical forces and moments), then I seem to get equations that results inforces that can't be uniquely determined. It seems to give a solution thatis dependant on two parameters.Is this really the case? How do you do if you really need to calculate theforces?

Thanks very much for providing the info. If possible could anyone suggest freeware related to calculating SFD and BMD.

beam demo and column demo, there are several freeware programs you can find. They are not the first hit, but down a bit in the page, but you can find them with ease I believe.
