geometric non- linear isometric twisting by follower load

For the helicoid

(x,y,z) = (u cos(v), u sin (v), v ) , ( 0 < v < 2 pi ) , ( -1 < u <

1 )

a variable follower load P sin ( pi x/2) is applied on top edge and all DOF are fixed for origin. As P is increased the helicoid twists and eventually assumes the shape of an axi-symmrtic catenoid ( r = a cosh ( z / a) , (x,y) = ( r cos(v), r sin (v) ) where polar cords notation u,v is repeated for convenience.

Can someone please help to model this on Ansys with say 1mm thickness elastic isotropic material? It could help determine P and a.

It is a classical bending case in differential geometry.I am sure it would be quite intersting and instructive.
