Baffling assignment questions - please help

I have an assignment, Q1 and Q2 look very similar:
1. Draw the typical equilibrium diagram for a binary alloy forming a
continuous series of solid solutions.
2. Draw the typical equilibrium diagram for a binary alloy forming eutectic
mixttures.
What is the difference between these two questions?
Are they both asking for the same diagram?
Doesn't a binary alloy form both eutectic mixtures and a series of solid
solutions?

In the first, both elements are completely soluble in each other at any concentration. In the second, a eutectic is formed at one particular alloy composition. I'd suggest you look up the information in a standard phase diagram book.
