Problems in removing Nitric from Aqua Regia

Sep 07, 2003 2 Replies

Before Pt can be precipitated from an Aqua Regia solution -- (using Ammonium Chloride) -- the Nitric acid must first be removed by repeated evaporations with HCl.

This process is very time consuming, tedious and not always repeatable.

Can the group help me with a more reliable method of removing Nitric acid from Aqua Regia?
