I fixed cracks in helicopters for a few years. Makes a guy much prefer fixed wing flying! :-) Well, at least flying in something other than a Bell product, anyway.
Are the Gyro's still as prone to pilot induced oscillation as they used to be?
Fixed wing flying never had enough draw for me to go to the trouble, and a helo licsence, well, not much point unless you are going commercial or are independantly wealthy. Even the cheap little choppers that are surfacing these days are not real cheap to own.

Kinda cool little flyer, if that's your thing
Damn straight it is a cool flyer! I just wish I had a couple more grand in the bank so I could get one (and the training etc. etc.). I was sharing the instructor's time with a dude from Korea (southern). He had bought one second cum third hand from Australia. He is a fixed wing pilot with in excess of 1500 hours on his card and PIO was one of his biggest problems. When I left he had been in the air with the instructor for about two hours and wad getting a handle on that. The instructor was going nuts because the Korean couldn't speak 'word one' of English. Their classroom sessions resembled a Japanese 'art' film.
