And you don't know anyone with a welder who might do all the welding for you for a 6-pack or a tenspot? Ask around. You're bound to find someone just up the street who has a leetle welder you could use or talk them into using for you.

My friend with a welder lives two hours away, so slows it down.
Someone else mentioned using the old ones, so since I happen to have two old ones that I was just going to throw away anyway, I will try them. I didn't make the connection onyour post, about the possibility of using the old ones. I only have two different tapered roller bearings to worry about, so that will do it for the tapered roller bearings.
