Many people use the inpact gun method but for this application it is really not recommended the crankshaft on a snowmobile is made up of individual pieces crank pins, webs (throws) ,bearings ... they are pressed together and then the crank is trued (usually by striking with a brass hammer) the manufacturer claims that the crank can be knocked out of alignment by using an impact gun to remove the drive clutch Mike
