Lapping a diamond cutting tool

I'm looking for a source to get a small diamond cutting tool lapped. It's a cut off tool from a very small specialised lathe. Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

Southern California location would be great.

Thanks.

It's not a real common after-sale service. Usually it's done in the course of manufacturing a tool.

So, if you don't get any answers, check with diamond tool makers in your area. Maybe someone will do it for you, or pass you on to a service *they* use. I'd suggest SP3 as a maker, but they're somewhere in the Silicon Valley area.

Good luck.

Seriously - check into a local Lapidary club. They use diamond laps and iron laps with charges of xxxx all of the time...

That is one option.
