Harbor Freight put their 05511 ratcheting load binders on sale for $20. They take 3/8" chains and are rated for 9200 pounds. I ended up using the
10% off coupon they sent me and leaving the store with 4 of them. They're heavy and appear well made. All the parts were properly formed (ie. nothing crooked, bent, or visibly offsize). The threads are beefy and smooth. The ratcheting mechanism appears strong. The paint job is decent. Overall I'm satisfied.Time will tell how well they hold up. I'm not worried about them breaking under load because I don't rely on just one of them.
