Hello, I have a small vacuum chamber connected to my vacuum pump that I am using to degass silicone and urethane. I would like the system to pump down more quickly. I disassembled the plastic valve and found that one of the internal holes (on the tap) is quite small.
1) is their any technical reason that I should not drill this hole out to increase air flow?
2) Am I correct in expecting air flow to increase significantly if the hole is enlarged by a minimum area of 3 times(its probably about 2-3mm in diameter about now)
Thankyou
Steve
