Hi, I want to make some small garden type creatures. I want to use tin as the metal, so they are very light. Can I solder tin to tin with a home type soldering iron, and acid flux? Also could you make a suggestion for a neck that would be long and that would sway or bounce. Thanks. Patt

Yes but first practice on some scrap. For the necks, I would suggest getting some #12(or even#14) solid copper wire. Coil the wire around a dowel then stretch it out a little. Adjust the coil length as required. Coat the copper with tin solder and then solder it to the tin. Again, you'll have to experiment to get the 'springness' you need. Larry
