Tracking down A Needle File Handle

I have a couple of very nice handles for needle files. They are plastic, with a round knob on the back end that operates a collet to hold the files. They are very comfortable, and easy to change files in. I wanted to give some to my brother and his wife for Christmas, as they have recently gotten into jewelery making.

The place I bought them no longer sells them, and I've done a fairly thorough search of the 'Net trying to find an alternate source. SPI used to sell them but no longer lists them, at least not on-line. I did find an old picture of one here:

(This will need splicing at the period)

They are labeled "Swiss Design", and have a logo that looks a bit like a W with a split & a dot over the split:

O \\ //\\ // \\// \| |/

I don't recognize the logo.

I've tried the wooden handles, the black plastic ones with the groove in the back, and the plastic collet ones that split in the center that McMaster Carr sells. These are the best alternative, but they still aren't as nice as the SPI ones.

Anyone have any idea where I could fine some more? If not, does anyone recognize the logo? I suspect they aren't made anymore (they weren't cheap), but it's worth a shot.

Thanks for any suggestions.

These are Vallorbe (a Swiss file manufacturer) handles. The type is "Colibri AL160" or "Colibri AL 260".

How about graver handles:

There are lots of semi-permanent handles one can use. The nice thing about the collet variety is you can swap them around and not chew up tons of storage space.

They must not make them anymore, or aren't sold anywhere I can find under that designation. I think I will have to settle for the ones McMaster carr sells, which are OK (and certainly much less expensive). At least I have a have a small stash of the good ones.

My tool-dealer has them (in Munich, so that won't help you much). Maybe Vallorbe OEMs them. If you are in terrible need, I would contact Vallorbe and ask for dealers.

I found them in their PDF catalog. I'll send them an email and see if they know of anyone who sells them on thsi side of the Atlantic.

Thanks!
