Chemical Milling ?

Just been to our laser/water-jet people with some parts that turn out to be to small for them, has anybody any experience in getting parts chemically milled/photo etched etc, and most importantly-is it expensive ? Just looking at the photofabrication services website with a view to calling them tomorrow. Also-has anybody been able to get an answer in english from the wilmsmetal people:

Not generally expensive. Pretty much everything in small finescale model train making in the UK seems to be etched (not quite true, but it seems that way).

What thickness, what area, what materials ? Simple etching from two sides, or something really complicated ?

I think circa A4 sheets, through quality etchers, in 10thou nickel silver are below £50 for the first sheet (phototool making) and much less for subsequent sheets. The expensive bit can be the design of the photo tool (usually a 2D CAD design), though in small scale model making, often the designer is doing it for fun, so puts their time in cheaply/free.
