Telepresence Robot?

Hi All,

I was showing a potential roboteer a few websites today, and mentioned one I played around with last year a bit.

It was a telepresence robot in someones home office where you could drive this robot around, there was a mirror to see "yourself" in, some stairs (with a baby gate across) and a bathroom...

If anyone remembers the URL, please let me know.

That sounds cool... I'm working on that concept for my mobile robot. It needs to have its robot arm attached (when I eeeever finish it). Then, two Hi-8 video cameras (color autofocus with zoom and sound) will be attached on top using a pan-tilt setup. Connect motion-pickups to an operators arm. Give the operator a virtual reality setup with viewvinders and sound. Make all communications wireless. Operator can than see and interact with the robot's surroundings from a seperate location. So many ideas... so little budget.... Prolly won't be finished for the next

5 years at least.
