The irony of this buncha niche-y morons is that while sociopaths like PETA may laud a move like this, true PETA-ites would never use these products.

Why do you say they're morons?

It seems like an innovative business decision. Plenty of non-PETA-ites would look for such a designation and would choose their product.

I hope they succeed. I'm sorry to hear you're so anti-capitalism.

I'm a member of the other PETA - People Eating Tasty Animals.

I lived and hunted in Montana for 8 years. My family also ranches and sells farm implements there and in Idaho. These people (the predator protection groups) are idiots. The cost for all of this non-sense will be staggering. Wolves will attack cattle and sheep regardless of human presence. Cattle are inseminated in a large group, usually the entire herd at once. That way not only can you control the bloodline, but you also control the calving time and hence the market time. A cow is very vulnerable while calving and the calf is very vulnerable for the first few weeks/months. Wolves and to a lesser extent coyotes are drawn to the blood scent of calving. Since this occurs in late February early March, there is little else to feed on except carrion. The lack of wild food along with the easy access and the smell of blood in the air, set off a predatory frenzy unless humans intervene. Tree-huggers have the best of intensions but fail to recognize that bambi is fiction.

BTW, these folks registered the domain long before the better known organization STOLE it from them. And they took peta dot com too. They should be renamed People for the unEthical Taking of Addresses.

You are so wrong about me being anti-capitalism.

Can businesses scrape the bottom of the barrel anymore, though? The entire buying public isn't soccer moms.

If God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them taste so good! :)

Ed

Wouldn't that make their acronym "PUTA"?

Reminds me of a joke billboard I saw: "There room for all God's creatures...right next to the mashed potatoes.

I don't think it's a joke, check out the image I posted to a.b.m.r, godscreatures.jpg
