Help from Korean War experts needed

I'm looking for pics and info about the F-51 Mustangs used in Korea by the Montana ANG 186th Fighter Squadron. About the only info I have so far is from the MT ANG website:

"On April 1, 1951, the unit was activated for Korea. Personnel were sent to Moody Air Force Base, Ga., and 10 F-51s were shipped to Korea."

The unit was the first ANG squadron to re-equip with the F-86A in 1953.

I've googled around without success so far.

Does anyone have the book "F-51 Mustang Units over Korea", Osprey Frontline Color #1 ? Does it have any MT ANG info in it?

Thanks!

Peter, No luck. I looked through my copy of the US National Guard by Rene Francillon and there's quite few shots of F-51D's and H's but nothing from the 186th. It's interesting though that he notes the 51 call up as part of the Korean activation (but not a Korean deployment) and the trip to Moody was for SAC duty. In Nov 51 had them transfered to TAC and moved to George AFB.

This really is a pretty neat book that I have not pulled off the shelf in a while. If you would like I can scan the page on the 186th and e-mail it to you.

Cheers, Allen
