From what I remember reading when they stopped both magazines, the problem was that WAPJ had basically run out of planes to do feature articles on, if you look back through the issues, they did a feature on every US plane, plus most of the major types from other countries. They even ran articles on F-16's and F-18's twice.

On the other hand, WoF had a rather deep pool of idea to draw from, if you look at what they published verusus what they could still do, you start to see the size of the pool.

Personally, I'm glad to see articles on all the Russian aircraft in IAPR, an the mix of old and new seems to work, at least for me.
