Quality of IMEX 1/35 Apache?

Already got a response at ML, but was wondering if anyone had a little more detailed knowledge of the kit. Things I'd like to know: How good/bad is the detail? Or is it a matter of missing detail? Raised, scribed, or nonexistent panel lines? How dimensionally accurate is it (this is not my greatest concern, as long as all errors are proportional)Are there aftermarket parts, resin or PE, to correct any glaring mistakes?

Thanks.

Hello there I looked at the kit when i first came out, and to me it looks just like the older Acadamy kit of the D model, along with its inherent problems. Detail is average, I dont know of any upgrades for it specifically. Ive had several offers to build one for commission and have turned it down each time, simply knowin how much work is going to go into building up an accurate model. I converted my Acadamy D model to a proper D model and that was a buttload of work, and so will the Imex/Kangnam/Arii apache (all the same). Anyway, thats my view on it, hope this helps. Imex is Korean, Kangnam is Chinese, Arii is Japanese. How can they all be the same? tia

For the same reason that Tamiya (Japanese) and RoG (German) can rebox Italeri (Italian) kits, and Italeri can rebox Academy (Korean) and DML (Chinese) kits. There is only one 1/35 Apache kit (technically two, the -A and so-called "-D") and it's the same in all the boxings. BTW, the side on my IMEX Apache kits says the company is located in Brooksville, Florida.
