OK what did I do now

I just installed the SP3.0 service pack was SP1.0 and Bluebeam PDF still doesn't work. What I mean by doesn't work is that after attempting savas PDF get the following message "an unknown error occurred during the creation of the PDF file"

On the last reinstall of SP1.0 the SW installation procedures were followed. However, I noticed at this time the Bluebeam folder was still in HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE program folders and decided to delete them as well. After reinstalling SP1.0 Bluebeam PDF would still not work. And I'm not sure if this is the reason it is now broken. Seems like the reinstallation of SW SP1.0 and now SP3.0 would have reinstalled any missing data or folders. Note: The folders for Bluebeam were recreated in the HKEY folders after reinstalling SP1.0

Anyone know how to fix this problem? It isn't a show stopper but it would be nice to have everything working as it should.

Bluebeam is not displayed as a printer choice. My choices are HP DeskJet or CutePDF

What I am seeing and doing to create PDF file Part file open File saveas and choose PDF type and file save location The process starts and a dialogue pops up "Generating PDF; plotting page 1 of 1" After a short period another dialogue pops up "an unknown error occurred during the creation of the PDF file" The well known hourglass symbol just hangs there until I click OK on the popup dialogue box. PDF file is not created

It's working fine here; however, every so often I will get this error - I found if I do a ctrl Q and save then try 'Save As...' PDF again it will work OK.

I gave Ctrl+Q, SaveAs a try and still receive the error message. What SW version are you on?

Kman,

I've been able to correct the exact problem you describe by reinstalling SolidWorks AFTER assuring that any and ALL anti-virus programs are turned OFF!

I use Norton for antivirus protection and disable before installing the software. How I do this is RMB on Norton icon and then check the disable auto protect box? I can't be sure but I have my doubts Norton is completely disabled. My doubts stem from the fact when installing SW a message pops up giving me the options to allow/not allow "msiexe.exe" file execution. When you say OFF is this one and the same as using Norton's disable auto protect?

If you are running XP do a "repair" installation from the Add/Remove programs icon in Control panel.
