Thats the whole point of Solidworks World. Specialized information. You have experts from their field come in and present their best techniques. I didnt have to use weldments and sheet metal till very recently. I was able to pull up old Solidworks World sessions that I had attended to get that info when I needed it -confident that it was a best practise presentation.

Believe it or not perhaps engine design is not the most convincing application of Marks knowledge and skill set. There are many commonalities to plastic parts designs and that has been what Mark has presented on the last few years. Perhaps some of the fellows from Keonigsegg would give a better demonstration of engine design for you
swatting it down. Notice that no-one said that an engine design would be a bad presentation. But how much would you learn from a non-expert engine designer? Uneducated presentations can be maddening- so perhaps MB can build a better model based on his training and skillset?

Listen- why in the world is drawing a straight line relevent in any way to design? Its called CAD- its an innovation that saves you from having to draw straight lines and arcs for a living. Yes- freeform is a different mindset but the best designers use both approaches- as many as possible.
