SolidWorks -> SolidWorks Office Justification

Has anyone else had the task of convincing their boss to do this upgrade? If so what arguments did you use?

Thanks for your replies.

We updated one seat so we would have access to eDrawings Pro to be able to turn on measure capability. It also gave us a seat of animator to use for some of our presentations.

If you use fasteners in your assemblies, then Toolbox is a great time-saver.

One question I did have about PDMWorks... Can it control all files associated with a given part or assembly including SolidWorks files, DXF files, NC machine code even if this data resides on differnt network drives? Or does all the files have to be in one folder on one drive?

BTW thanks for the replies so far..

PDM Works can be used for revision control on any file type. However, the limitations of non parametric files remain eg. .dxf files will have to be remade/resaved after each revision change. (you probably know this already.)
