Can anyone help identify my Douglas engine. It is a single cylinder vertical side valve engine with a stroke of 3 ins and a bore of 2.5 ins, giving an approximate capacity of 250cc. This does not seem to relate to the SV range produced in the late 40s &50s, so can anyone offer any ideas as to its age or any other info (did it come off a generating set?) TIA
