Job going!

This from a post on uk.railway - Doesn't say what scale though!

Applications are invited from analysts with some experience of transport modelling for an exciting role in The Department for Transport Rail Group. Using your analytical and modelling skills you will work at the heart of rail policy; with a key objective to influence that policy. You will help to run, maintain and develop a full range of analytical models that assess how people use the rail network, covering areas such as crowding, capacity, performance, safety, cost and in particular passenger demand. Ideally, you'll have experience of rail demand forecasting and modelling with strong IT skills. Knowledge of EMME/2 and the PDFH would also be useful but not essential.

Salary range: £34,328 - £41,358. Based in London.

The modelling it is referring to is mathematical modelling, not scale modelling.

But it would not have been ammusing had I acknowledged that I was aware of that, I saw it more as a sort of lapsed pun.

Truth was I was bored and tired and just fancied a natter but had nothing useful to contribute to the current threads

Mind you, there may be a couple of *really* high-profile job vacancies going within government departments in the near future. Anyone interested? ;-)

Don't you have to be elected to Parliament first, to get those jobs?

That can be arranged for a suitable consideration.

Or complete the following tiebreaker in not more than 20 words;

"I want to be a member of the House of Lords because....."

Don't forget to enclose 2 tokens from special packs of Kellogg's Frosties or All-Bran, plus a hefty cheque payable to "Tony's Cash-Kwik Enterprises Ltd." ;-)

I thought you only had to *know* someone in parliament to get high-flying government posts, or are you talking about ministerial positions? If so I understand that 'Two Shags' is very good at the mercenary position.

Pity she wasn't a *dairy* secretary, then the tabloids could have milked the story for all it was worth....
