Job Description Cisco Systems, Inc. seeks an individual for development and application of the latest Mechanical CAD tools used to create new hardware systems. You will work with product development teams to provide application support for essential ProE and Intralink. You will join a team of employees that have repeatedly proven itself in the industry. The Application Engineer provides comprehensive telephone/ web/e-mail/chat technical and application support to internal engineering team. The candidate must be able to work directly with customers in high-pressure situations; have strong analytic, organizational, time management, and communication skills; thrive in a team environment; and possess the willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve the highest customer satisfaction. You will also work with Design Engineers to solve application problems that may arise in the product development process. Also, the candidate will interact with development and application team to investigate and resolve issues. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to analyze, track and resolve customer issues in a professional, timely manner; identify alternate application approaches when necessary and communicate them to customers. Develop and implement CAD tools based support initiatives.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years in customer support experience for CAD system. Good knowledge and experience with ProE, Intralink and other MCAD in support, administration and environment. Strong web development skills. Familiar with development languages such as VBS, Perl, Java. Experience with Windows XP, Sun Solaris Operating systems. Extensive CAD customer support experience. Experience in project management, processes development. Understanding of Local and Wide area Networking, TCP/IP protocol. Very strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to build long-term strategic vision, direction and roadmaps to achieve them. Strong communication skills - including written and oral communication as well as presentation skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals. Cross functional project experience involving multiple business units or functional groups working towards common goals and objectives. Must be self managed, highly motivated and have a strong drive for results. Very strong capability and high capacity for learning. Demonstrated teamwork as well as leadership and influence skills. Strong process focus, able to see opportunities for improvement in the business. Proven track record of delivery.
