Are aluminum panels from electronic devices weldable?

I would like to play with tig welding. I have several old military surplus electronic devices that I disassembled to salvage parts, and there are very many aluminum panels, brackets etc. My question is, how can I know their alloy and are they usually weldable.

You will need to remove the anodizing on the panels with a sanding disc or flap wheel.
