Is this any good for a novice?

I was at HomeDepot picking up a new Skil Saw earlier tonight and saw a Lincoln Weld Pak 3200HD Wire Feed Welder in the Tool Corral for $459.

I've got an O/A rig currently that I use on a hobby level and have always wanted a wire feed welder, (I have plans to build a long-travel sand car next summer) but don't know much about 'em.

Is this rig any good? I'd post a link, but the link shown in my browser points to something completely different if I paste it here and then launch it. Got to the HD web site and search for Lincoln. It's towards the top of the resulting page.

Thx!

It is a discussion of: Hobart Handler 140 vs. Lincoln Weld-Pak 3200HD

I don't own or recommend either at this point. Just thought it might provide some interesting insight.
