Must finish a job, but don't have the right gas

I am in the middle of a job and ran out of argon. Called my local supply shop and had them drop off a cylinder of argon on saturday. Now my fault is that I did not check to see if it was right, and of course it is a cylinder of 75/25. So toady's question is, besides a lot of sputter can two mild steel parts be tig welded with 75/25.

Thanks Harry

Eroding the electrode so fast it seems like you put it on the grinder. Been there..done that.

Aint happening.

Now I'm really confused! What are you assuming is the 25 is? I use

75/25 A/He for all my TIG welding and my tungstens (thoriated) sand up just fine except when I dunk them in the puddle.

The most common 75/25 mix is C25.

75% Argon, 25% CO2. C25 will eat your tungsten.

If it was He25, which is 75% argon, 25% Helium, then it would be fine for TIG on all metals and MIG on aluminum, titanium and copper.
