OT: Rant re welding distributors

Ok, I am a small shop, barely buy $ 300 in supplies a month, mostlymig wire and gas. I bought a TD Cut Master 50 plasma cutter from alocal, large distributor last March and have nothing but trouble whenI go to buy supplies for it. The unit works flawlessly, no complaintsabout performance. I cant get the yo-yos who sold it to me to supplyme with drag tips, and other spare parts. The three largest weldingsupply shops in town seem to be clueless about small shop needs.The same story when I started using Lanthanated electrodes and TIG/MIGbrazing with silicon bronze and aluminum brazing last year based onwhat I learned on this group. Most of my orders take at least a monthto fill and I have had to bring copies of previous invoices to provethat , yes, bronze wire exists and so do lanthanated electrodes, andgolly gee, so do drag tips, drag cups and even dual shied in .030rolls plus aluminum solder/flux.......I gave up today and tried ordering directly from TD for torch parts.They are not sure that htey can do it. Anyone have a favorite mailorder sources for plasma cutter supplies and specialty consumables??regardsrant mode offJim Riverside, Ca

I just figured you might appreciate another option. :)

There's a large number of welding suppliers in the Albany area, if you get down that way at all.

Where did you get your monster anyway?
