Oak Signature Coolant

We have always run Valenites VNT 800 in our turning and machining centers and have real good results. ( tool life, sump life, etc. )

As far as price and being able to get it shipped to the shop for free from Enco it could not be beat.

But now Enco says that it is no longer available from them.

And they are now trying to push the Oak Signature brand made by Cinncinati Milacron.

Stating that it is "100# compatible with the original Valcool".

Has anyone ever seen or used this coolant ?

My guess would be that the Valenite brand is made by Oak Signature. ( only a guess ) ( I wouldn't think that Valenite would go through all the trouble of R&D and manufacturing just to offer 5 types of coolant along with all of their other products ).

We would like to stay with Valenites VNT 800, but if this is the same coolant in a different bottle what is the differance ?

Please don't turn this into a discussion of what brand is better. ( Blaser, Castrol, Etc. )

Just the facts on Valenite and Oak Signature please.

Regards Tom

I'm surprised to hear that The VNT800 is no longer available. I'd check with valenite to see what they have to say about it.
