4.8v Receiver Battery Query

Hi all..

Just hooked up a 4.8v 700mAh NICAD to my Mercury EX Charger and did an auto discharge/charge but all I can seem to get into it is around

278mAh.

At present, Charge current is 0.45A, Voltage is reading 6.05V and the battery capacity restored is 155 mAh. It has been charging for 22 minutes.

Could it be that one or two of the cells are knackered?

How old is your battery? NiCds lose capacity with age.

Its only 2 year old. I haven't used it much as I haven't been flying much due to.. well.. personal problems with work.

In saying that, I have a feeling that I may have used the charger incorrectly. I have another battery on charge and seemed to initially show similar symptoms. Ive started a manual charge on it and it seems to be working fine.

I'll know more in about 10-15 minutes
