I've never had a Diamond Dust so I can't compare the two. The picture I sent you is my 4th Holy Smoke. If you are looking for something with blinding speed the DD would be the first choice as the HS has a relatively fat wing which limits the speed factor. It is pretty fast, I estimate it's hitting about 90mph on my OS .40FSR. You could get the speed up a bit with a Jett or other "hot" engine. The HS is a rolling maniac with the elevon setup as in the picture. I have always used the elevons setup since I built the first one stock and didn't get a fast enough roll rate.
I will look over the weekend for the plans. I know the kit is buried in the closet somewhere.

I've seen a Holy Smoke with a piped YS 60 and retract (center wheel and tip skids). It flew "quite briskly" - this was at the AMA Homecoming event at Muncie in '93. 10-9 or 10-10 APC prop IIRC. I think he had fitted 1/8" ply elevons and used ~ 90 oz-in servos on them. I remember it rolled like crazy.
IIRC the guy's name was Ron London and he called himself the "Delta King" for fun. It's been a decade.

How about a Balsa USA Force One or the larger Enforcer? I believe you can get plans without buying the kit.
