I do have to grant you one thing. We do have to apologize to OUR guys in uniform because it took TWO trips to get the job done simply because of the cowardly folks in Europe and other places bailed out on the first trip. I would have to guess that you wish that the U.S. had stayed home in 1941 so that folks in England could speak German today. Or was that Russian you are so interested in learning? I bet those folks would not tolerate spelling and 'typing' as bad as yours is except when you are trying to hammer the U.S. and its people. No, the US administration decided that it was not worth the political fallout - and potential embrassing revelations possibly - of doing more than kick him out of Kuwait.

Not as many as the US and other funding that allowed him to get to power and stay in power in the first place. He was useful to you once. He made sure Iran was not able to flood the market with oil you didn't control, and you could trade him weapons for oil.

Then when the whole Sauidi thing started to look rocky with half the Bin Laden family having lunch at the White house and the other half busy tossing airliners into new york, it seemed like a good idea to get your hands on an alternative oil supply.

That makes some kind of honest sense'

But when its all about a moral crusade, weapons of mass destruction (still not found) and immediate and serious threats (bollocks: You need a missile with a range in excess of 3,000 miles to immediately threaten the US, and no one has EVER suggested ANYTHING like that was remoptely within teh power of Iraq to produce. AND what did all that money on Star Wars go ion anyway..Oh. GWB's cronies holidays. Fair point) one really has to wonder why we are being consistently lied to.

Of course, one merely has to look at the overall network of business relationships and the way those associated with GWB behave, in business, to get the picture. They are just a bunch of greedy get rich quick, get richer slower merchants to whom teh truth is just one possible line to adopt amongst many, and with no intrinsic value. Their intense contempt for the US voting public as well as their ownership of the US media means thay don't really have to even consider telling the truth. No one is going to DARE disagree. Or good citizens like you will come out guns blazing just like you are supoosed to do.

Well we thoutht the Americans would not be so stupid as to realise when their own multinationals have been using Iraq for YEARS to make FAR MORE money than anyone in Europe did.

We thought the Americans would be sensible enough to realise that, by and large, it was the French who won the war of independence for them, and who co wrote the Declaration..we thought that even Americans were not stupid enough not to bother to check facts...but then, too late, we realised that this was wishful thinking. What NBC says (look at who owns it) is what is taken for real.

We thought that, after the debacle of the 60's and 70's everyine KNEW that politicians and especially US presidents lie more easily than they can s*it. e thought it was common knowledge that things are done for the hopeful good of the nation, and the liberal flag waving bullshit is just there to make it look not TOO amoral. We thought that it was 100% obvious from the witchunt against Clintons personal morals (who GIVES a s*it) that the current Republican party has all the Morals and Ethics of Arthur Andersen and Enron. What we didn't think was that they were as completely incompetent and stupid as they are. That is we knew they were liars to a man, and greedy self seeking rich men, but the staggering ineptitude with which they have proceeded came as a shock, as did the staggering gullibility of the American public.

I would just like to know why you hold so much hate for the US? And why must you constantly spew it forth in this forum? What did we ever do to you? If, as you claim, you are well off then you should be comfortable and be able to just shine it on. But instead you insist on your constant insertions of hate mongering towards the US? Without I might add any substance to support any of it!

As an American citizen I am insulted by your repeated disparages against my nation and President. How would you like it if I make similar remarks about the Queen, the royal family and your government? But on second thought, I suspect you wouldn't mind. I believe you are that type.
