Covering Question

The newbie with a question again... I'm building a foam model that I want to finish with TowerKoat (cheap & lo-temp). The foam has some minor imperfections that I don't want to appear in the covering. I tried balsa filler and sanding, but a few small imperfections remain. I think they would come out if I wet sanded after water-based polyurethane. Will the polyurethane cause any problems when I iron on the covering? Any other suggestions? TIA.

Don't overdo the finish on a cheap foamie. You'll add so much weight, you'll destroy it's performance...

Yes. It will seal the surface and y will get air bubbles.

Use poly if painting.

Otherwise just use fuller. Or skin with balsa.
