Thanks again to all who responded to my loose blind nut post. Special thanks to John Bonnet who suggested cleaning the blind nut threads with a tap. I'm a pack rat, and I save every bit of hardware I can from planes that have made unexpected landings. The blind nuts were from one of my deceased planes and were pretty cruddy. They would've pushed out again if I hadn't used a 4-40 tap to get the dirt out of 'em.
