Fliton mini edge 540 servos

Hi, I am assembling a Fliton mini edge 540 and I found that two HS-55 micro servos wont seat properly in the elevator and rudder cutouts. The servos butt up against each other(one on each side of the body). The body is very narrow at the mounting spot. Should I add wood spacers under the mounting tabs or mount the servos inside near the CG and run pushrods? About half of the servo sticks out. They didnt stagger the mounting holes!!

I ran into the same thing with the beautiful Sebart Katana 30ES! Just very poor planning and design by the kit designer. The two openings should be offset so the servos will clear. Use the spacers!

You will have to make some shims out of 1/4" (I used two pieces of 1/8") plywood to go under the servo mounts so they are pulled out away from the fuselage.
