fs-70 ultimate pump disassembling

I really need to disassemble the os fs-70 ultimate pump. I need to change the cover plate (because is damaged the area where the carb is joined to ). The spare cover plate come without pump unit (the whole spare part including mounted pump is too expensive for me) so I need to release the pump from the damaged cover plate and attach it to the new one.

The manual prevents for not disassemble the pump. I think it is a membrane pump. I have disassembled before a rotating pump from a 120 surpass, but this is (I think very different).

Can anybody help me with any advice, previous experience, suggestions, etc, etc for success in this task???

Any help will be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Yes. They have adequate fuel feed without a pump in normal situations (where the fuel tank is normally close to the carb).

The fuel pump permits OS to run a slightly larger carb since they do not rely upon venturi effect to draw the fuel. This can lead to slightly more power being produced and gives the engine the ability to draw fuel from much further away. The extra power and fuel draw ability comes at a price of slightly less reliability and more expense.

The nonpumped engines run very well and are powerful enough.
